Allen: Service Hours

Service Hour Policy

Metro Allen has a service policy for all member families. Each family has a commitment of 15 hours of service work for the team per calendar year. If a family chooses, they may pay $200 in lieu of this service commitment.

The hours are pro-rated only for new families from the month joining the team through the end of the calendar year. Families joining January through March have a 15 hour per year commitment. Families joining in April through June have a 10 hour commitment. Families joining in July have a 5 hour commitment. Families joining after August 1st, have no service hour commitment for the calendar year, but any service hours are greatly appreciated. There are many opportunities to accumulate these hours. Please check the Metro Website, newsletter, team e-mails and pool bulletin boards for service opportunities.

After serving time for an event, please fill out a service hour form found in the front files at each pool. When completed, return to the file marked “completed service hours.” These will be collected at regular intervals and logged.
