How to Enter a Swim Meet

1} Check the meet schedule posted on the Metro site.

2) If you are a new member to the team and your child has never swum on another USA Swim Team, that swimmer will be entered with a No Time (NT) for each event swum. If you are coming from another team, you will need to give Brent Mitchell the times that your swimmer has accomplished when entering the first meet for Metroplex Aquatics.

3) You will need to get a Meet Entry form from either the box at the pool or from the website on the “Meet Schedule” page. On the meet entry form, please fill out all information except for the USA swimming number. Please make sure that all of the information is correct. To do the meet entry form, you will also need the meet information for that meet.

4) On the entry form, you will put the first event number that your swimmer is swimming along with circling the distance of the event and the stroke. Do not worry about the time. If they are new, the computer will give them a NT. If they are an older swimmer who has swum for Metro before, we will have that time in the database from the older meets.

5) Notice on the meet entry form that you have fees. Each event will cost a certain amount of money. This is why we have an escrow account. Instead of having 100 checks coming in for a meet, we can take that money out and bill you to replenish the account.

6) Once you have completed the form, please put it in the “Meet Entries” folder at the pool. It is important to get them in on time. If you do not get them in when they are asked for you will have to late enter the meet.
