  • What is Masters Swimming?
    • US Masters Swimming is a recreational and competitive swim organization for swimmers over the age of 18. Masters swimming gives members the opportunity to learn about swim, get in shape, and compete amongst their own age groups. 
  • Where/When are practices? 
    • ​We currently have 2 practice facilities for Masters
      • Lovejoy
        • 440 Country Club Rd, Fairview TX, 75069. The pool is located behind Sloan Creek Intermediate school inside the white training dome. 
        • M-F @ 5 - 6:30 am
      • ​McKinney
        • ​Apex Centre Pool
        • MWF @ 5 - 6:30 am
  • Do I have to practice the whole time? Do I have to go to all practices?
    • Nope! We believe that all swimmers should work at their own pace to reach their individual goals. Practices are optional and you can leave whenever you like.
  • Do I have to compete?
    • Nope! Although we encourage competition and teamwork as a tool to improve; we believe Masters swimming is for all skill levels and no one should be pressured to compete. 
  • Why do I need a USMS Membership?
    • “U.S. Masters Swimming is a national membership-operated nonprofit that provides membership benefits to nearly 65,000 Masters swimmers across the country.” USMS.org. Not only do you become an insured US Masters swimmer when joining, but you receive a bunch of other benefits on top of being able to swim with other like-minded individuals that help to push you to your goals!
  • Can beginners join?
    • Masters swimming is for all skill levels, but it is recommended that every swimmer is able to swim 25 yards of unassisted freestyle.
  • How much is it?
    • Drop-In swims are $8
    • $60 a month for unlimited practice

    • Your first practice with us if FREE when you show your USMS ID#! No strings attached. 
  • What do I need to bring?
    • Your USMS ID#
    • Swim Suit, Cap, and Goggles
    • Towel and Water
