The primary purpose of Metroplex Aquatics, Inc. (METRO) is to promote aquatic programs that benefit all amateur athletes, adhering to the standards and rules set forth by United States Swimming and North Texas Swimming, Inc. METRO is dedicated to providing education, instruction, and training in aquatics, with an emphasis on amateur swimming. We aim to foster national-level swimming competitions in a safe and supportive environment.
Since our inception in 1998, Metro's mission has been to educate, instruct, and train area youth to swim FAST. Metro strives to provide swimmers with the best in aquatic training through great technique foundations, outstanding coaching, and an excellent ratio of swimmers to coach. Our team's goal is to allow each swimmer to reach their potential in competitive swimming while enjoying interaction with other swimmers.
Participating in swim meets is optional but encouraged, as it allows the swimmers to see the results of their hard work and to get competitive feedback from the coaches. Meets are also a lot of fun!
Along with monthly dues, other fees include Metro family registration (per family annually), USA Swimming registration (paid to USA Swimming, not Metro), meet escrow fees, and swim gear (varies per swimmer).
Metroplex Aquatics is a non-profit club, with the daily operations run by an officer group that meets each month.
We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well-rounded competitive swim team. Thank you for joining us. We are looking forward to meeting you. Please feel free to ask another member or coach any questions you may have.
